Obedient to His Call
About a year ago, God placed something on my heart. Something He wanted me to do for Him. At first I was excited, I expressed it in my ladies Biblestudy group, and to a few close family members. But as time went by, I began to doubt myself. I wasn't knowledgeable enough. I didn't know my Bible well enough, and worst of all I had (have) a sin in my life that still has it's grip on me. Over and over I heard His calling and over and over I kept denying Him my obedience. I'm not strong enough, my illness will hold me back, I'm unreliable because of my illness....the list goes on and on.
If anything else, this last year has taught me one thing...God doesn't give up on you. If He wants you to do something, He will bring you to a place of repentance and obedience. But more than that, much more than that, He will equip you and use you right where you are. He doesn't say, "Come back when you're perfect, then I can use you." If that were the case we'd sure be in trouble. There are so many examples in the Bible of God using weak sinful people to do great things, only because, ONLY BECAUSE He has equipped them. Moses in Genesis, Abraham in Genesis, King David, Rahab, Ruth, The apostle Paul and so many, many more. Of course I'm not comparing myself with these powerful warriors in God's word, but what I am doing is being obedient like these warriors in His word. A Wounded Warrior mind you, but a warrior all the same.
He's asked me to share my story. I'm not sure why. It's not like my life has been an exciting or exceptional one. But I'm being obedient. If my obedience brings one person, just one person to God, it will have made a difference in heaven and I'll be rejoicing with the angels.
In my next blog, I'll give you a little history about me and Wounded Warrior walk with God. I pray you have a most beautifully blessed week. ♥️
